Organizations wanting to assist in efforts to end the high levels of exploitation in the fashion and textile industry can sign the HWCP’s Sports and Corporate Wear Ethical Deed.

Whilst they are not directly involved in manufacturing garments, many corporations and sporting institutions are responsible for the production of fashion and textile goods. Football teams and associations for example, usually produce a wide collection of sportswear and merchandising. Likewise, airlines and other large service providers require large numbers of uniforms.

Schools, local councils, government departments etc are also eligible to support the Sports and Corporate Wear Ethical Deed. If such an organization is interested in pursuing an ethical procurement policy, they are encouraged to contact the HWCP Project Officer for more information.

The following organizations have signed the Ethical Sports and Corporate Wear Deed (March 2007)

  • International Sports Clothing
  • Ken Done & Associates
  • Nike
  • Reebok
  • Rm Williams
  • Sea Folly
  • Skye Group (John & Lois Ties and Sydney Tie Co)
